रावण का जलता हुआ रूप इस सत्य का प्रतीक है कि जब मनुष्य अपने अहंकार और पाप में डूब जाता है, तो उसका परिणाम विनाश ही होता है। वैभव, शक्ति और ज्ञान सब व्यर्थ हो जाते हैं यदि वे धर्म और सत्य से विपरीत दिशा में चलें। अंततः अहंकार अपनी ही ज्वाला में भस्म हो जाता है, और वही अग्नि उसके पतन का कारण बनती है। यह हमें सिखाता है कि केवल धर्म, विनम्रता और सत्य ही जीवन को प्रकाश और अमरत्व की ओर ले जाते हैं।
