Karva Chauth is a traditional Hindu festival celebrated by married women in India. On this day, wives observe a day-long fast from sunrise to moonrise for the long life, prosperity, and well-being of their husbands. Women dress beautifully in festive attire, apply mehndi (henna) on their hands, and gather together to listen to the Karva Chauth Katha (story).
