A rare Ekamukhi Shivling was discovered near Chaubepur, ~20 km from Varanasi, during a cremation. BHU’s Prof. Gyaneshwar Chaubey & locals found it on Ganga’s northern bank. Experts date it to the 9th–10th century Gurjara–Pratihara era.
