In Siddha Dharma, Mahashivratri holds profound spiritual significance. All the Bhairavs and Bhairavis gathered at the Peeth to celebrate this divine occasion with deep devotion and discipline. On this sacred day, they observed a strict fast. Throughout the day, the Bhairavs and Bhairavis were engaged in crafting Shivlings and making various preparations for the night of worship. At midnight, Kaulantak Peethadhishwar Mahasiddha Ishaputra arrived, marking the beginning of the main rituals. Under his guidance, all the Bhairavs and Bhairavis performed the abhishek and worship of Bhagwan Shiva with great reverence. काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय (बीएचयू) के जीन विज्ञानी प्रो. ज्ञानेश्वर चौबे को शहर से 20 किमी उत्तर उनके गांव चौबेपुर के पास गंगा नदी के किनारे एक दुर्लभ एकमुखी शिवलिंग की प्रतिमा मिली। बलुआ पत्थर से बनी दुर्लभ एकमुखी शिवलिंग की मूर्ति अत्यंत सुंदर एवं कलात्मक है। इसके मुख पर भगवान शिव की शांत मुद्रा, जटामुकुट, गोल कुंडल, गले की माला तथा सूक्ष्म नक्काशी स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाई देती है। मूर्ति का ऊपरी भाग गोलाकार लिंग रूप में है जबकि सामने की दिशा में एक विशिष्ट मुख उकेरा गया है जो इसे अत्यंत दुर्लभ बनाता है। यह मूर्ति उन्हें एक ग्रामीण के खेत में तब मिली जब वे अपने गांव के साथियों के साथ वहां एक दाह संस्कार में सम्मिलित होने गए। इस प्राचीन मूर्ति का अध्ययन और अवलोकन कर प्रमुख पुरातत्वविद बीएचयू के डा. सचिन तिवारी, डा. राकेश तिवारी और प्रोफेसर वसंत शिंदे ने इसके नौंवी-दसवीं सदी ईस्वी की गुर्जर-प्रतिहार काल का होना बताया है। मूर्ति शिल्प काशी–सारनाथ कला परंपरा से प्रभावित है। #LordShiv #EkmukhiShivling #Varanasi #UttarPradesh #scrolllink
